2023 Kia Telluride Tech & Performance Overview

Setting the Standard for Style, Technology, and Performance

Kia didn’t just redesign its logo. With the logo redesign, the automaker has crafted a collection of attractive, well-equipped, and fun-to-drive vehicles - including the 2023 Kia Telluride. With the attractive Telluride and the rest of the lineup, Kia has quickly become a bargain brand to one that can’t keep vehicles on the lot.

The 2023 Kia Telluride is one such model that has changed the way drivers think of midsize SUVs. If you haven’t explored the new Kia lineup, the time is now and the team at Lupient Kia Milwaukee is ready to show you how Kia can make your driving experience more enjoyable.

What’s Under the Hood

The 2023 Kia Telluride has a spacious three-row interior and a peppy V6 that moves the midsize SUV down the road. The SUV has a 3.8-liter V6 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The 2023 Kia Telluride performance features work together to create 291 horsepower, 262 lb-ft of torque, and an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 20/26 MPG. When outfitted with available all-wheel drive, the Telluride’s EPA-estimated fuel economy drops slightly to 18/24 MPG.

When the X-Line and X-Pro trims are outfitted with an optional towing package, they can haul up to 5,500 pounds. These trims with the towing package come with a self-leveling rear suspension. Other trim levels have a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.

Informing and Entertaining on the Road

While Kia has been busy upgrading its branding, the automaker has continued to engineer high-quality vehicles loaded with standard features at an affordable starting sticker price. The entry-level Telluride LX comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, five USB ports, and a six-speaker audio system.

The 2023 Kia Telluride tech features also include standard proximity keyless entry, push-button start, remote start, and dual-zone climate control.

The standard driver-assistance features in the three-row SUV include Forward Collision Warning with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver-Attention Alert, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, LED Headlights with Automatic High Beams, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Assist, and Rear Parking Sensors.

The Telluride S has heated front seats and wireless device charging, while the mid-level EX trim has heated and ventilated front seats, a hands-free power liftgate, and an extra USB port. The top SX trim adds a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a digital keycard, ambient lighting, and a 10-speaker audio system. The SX trim also includes Surround-View and Blind-Spot Camera Systems, Front Parking Sensors, and Rear Collision Warning.
